I recommend Transferwise [1](now just Wise) for getting money to someone in Ukraine. They've got low fees and the ability to send money to Privatbank cards. Used them many times, while in Ukraine and while in the US. 1: https:/&#

The biggest problem with headphone dongles for me and my family is that they don’t last. The Apple one has great sound but doesn’t take long to start cutting out (from getting yanked on in a pocket, probably). I bought an all-metal, tiny US

Not sure why this was posted here? After reading this article, you’d think Ukraine is a terrible, dying place not worth visiting - a take that strays into “Russian propaganda” territory. But it’s not; even with all the corruption and dysfun

They use full forms (“I am”) in the email but then at the end write “we’ll” - not something I’d expect to see in a legal notice!

I have a Surface Go 2 running Arch. Great for dev work, aside from the low amount of storage (128 GB). Its portability is hard to beat for trips; Patagonia’s lovely Atom 8L sling bag is big enough for the tablet with some room left over.

Kvas(1), a fermented bread drink from Russia and Ukraine, might fit the bill with its alcohol content of 0.5-1% (it’s considered a non-alcoholic drink, but I’ve had Kvas that was _strong_). There’s nothing better than cold kvas on a hot day
