People routinely ruined phones via submersion or splashed water. I drowned a phone in my pocket while biking in a rainstorm as recently as 2018. You never hear about this anymore.

Same issue for me! After my previous Pixel bricked due to a flash chip wearing out (wtf?) I'm swearing off the Pixel line. I'm in the Northeast USA on T-Mobile. You?

People do it in parts of the world, generally referred to as 'subsistence farming' and not considered a desirable situation I think it's really awesome for people to grow their own food but at the same time we need to have ou

Their sausage has already done this. It's almost a dollar cheaper than Jimmy Dean at my local, and the Impossible stuff is indistinguishable from pork sausage.

I sync via a third party app that syncs a normal filesystem directory to my Android device from Google drive. Seems to work well enough that I haven't tried the official sync feature.

I've used the incandescent light in my oven to keep sourdough starter warm before. If the wattage is too low, you could hack together a simple thermostat driven relay and a larger light bulb run into your oven.

How is 'brisk' defined? When training for cycling I use heart rate zones to choose the right level of exertion for a workout. Zone 2 (115-145bpm roughly, in my case) is widely thought to be the lowest intensity range that yields p

This is exactly the kind of thing that will never be open source. Any entity with the extremely high level of resources to fabricate chips at this node have zero incentive to open source anything, and no number of amateurs with 3D printers

I'm firmly in the 'overweight' category based on BMI, at 15% bodyfat, and I wouldn't classify myself as jacked. I have a bit more lean muscle than most from cycling but definitely not a 'gym body'.

I'm a nearly scentless freak (confirmed by friends, acquaintances, lovers) and will, at the end of a 10 hour hike, smell less than my old housemate did fresh out of the shower. It's body chemistry I reckon.

I just throw my cycling bibs in the wash on warm (with the rest of my laundry) and then pull them out to air dry. Spin cycle is pretty good at getting most of the water out, with any airflow they're dry in the morning.

Was your experimentation more casual or rigorous? People take supplements but rarely take the time to even casually log perceived effects or use a self-blinded A/B study (my own lazy ass included). If you took a more rigorous approach

Even in US cities, stadia often lack massive surface parking lots. Giants stadium and Fenway are examples that do have some (very expensive) parking but are also on top of transit.
