It's time to jump on the train. I'm a cranky, old, embedded SWE and claude 4.5 is changing how I work. Before that I laughed off LLMs. They were trash. Claude still has issues, but damn, I think if I don't integrate it into m

I've been talking about switching to iOS from Android for over a decade. When Google finally pissed me off enough to get serious last year I just happened to buy my mom an ipad and perform the setup. Bad experience. Then helping my

Oddly enough semaglutide is making me crave sugar more. It might be the frequent sensation of having low blood sugar. Idk. It does make me choose more dense meals though since I know I can't eat that much due to delayed gastric emptyi

Eh, as a hacker who has wasted time on a lot of dumb stuff I would encourage people to not follow absolutely every obsession you have and think of the opportunity costs of new projects you take on.

I'm still seeing quite a few new Teslas in San Diego(arguably a more conservative city by CA standards). Someone is still giving him money for some reason.

IIRC the setup my friend had included a diamond wet saw and various polishing and grinding wheels. For instance I used some wax to stick a rock on the end of a stick and shaped it into a cabochon and, using the various polishing wheels, go

I recently had an MRI with contrast and didn't read up on it until I got home from the MRI. Apparently they used the linear molecule with the higher tendency to disassociate and deposit Gd. Great. The most annoying thing though was th

Equities in the US are priced in dollars. If you think the dollar is going to lose value(because the government is led by people who have repeatedly told you this is their goal) then you expect stocks to rise commensurate with the devaluati

The one thing smaller companies might have is allocated power budgets from power companies. Part of the mad dash to build datacenters right now is just to claim the power so your competitors can't. Now I do think the established play
