One Gets Through – Missile Command, but you launch the missiles
- Toynbeeidea 12d agoHate to have to be that guy, but, ACKSHULLY, you already do launch the missiles in Missile Command. That's literally the entire game, in fact, launching missiles to intercept other missiles.
- fred_is_fred 12d agoEveryone knows what OP meant.
- toast0 12d agoI'm still confused. Do you just get the commands and have to run the launcher to shoot where some unseen player tells you? "Missile Command, but you launch the attack" would be way clearer.
- mock-possum 12d agoWELL ACTUALLY you launch unguided rockets
- pkthunder 11d agoYou’re aiming to do the destruction this time, rather than saving civilization.
- burnt-resistor 12d agoNeat concept. I managed to get to level 5 on a tablet. Simple games are often the most enjoyable.
- OkayPhysicist 12d agoLevel 5 is a pretty massive difficulty spike. Not sure if there's tech that I'm missing (it seems like 3 and 4 pretty strongly encourage double hits), or if I'm just bad.
- matt123456789 12d agoGenuinely fun. I played through twice.
- probablyStimmed 11d agoAgreed and works well on mobile as well.
- ButlerianJihad 12d agohttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missile_Command#Development https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missile_Command#Development ... Theurer put two conditions to his work: neither the attacking nor defending states would be named, and the game would be purely defensive and never put players in situations where they would be the aggressor. ... Players would also not be able to retaliate, as that would be a scenario of mutual assured destruction, which Theurer didn't find noble: "I did not want to put the player in a position of being a genocidal maniac. Only a crazy person would sling nuclear weapons without context, right?".[9] ... The only possible game outcome of total destruction was also a message on the futility of war.
