- inigyou 1mo agoI wish you had to pay for all of them. We'd see a lot less of them.
- Jleagle 1mo agoYou say nothing is free, but Amazon, Discord, Dropbox, Facebook, GitHub, Google, Instagram, Microsoft, Paypal, Reddit, Slack, Steam, TikTok, Twitter etc all offer it for free. Plus, it's not for the dev, it's for the users of the website.

- Schiendelman 1mo agoIt's not free - you're agreeing for them to track and advertise to your customers. Apple does not do that with your Apple login data.
- inigyou 1mo agoHuh? Of course Apple does that, and charges you for the privilege as well.

- inigyou 1mo agoLying would make money. Apple likes money. Apple has a lot of money. Many other companies that were in positions similar to Apple have been caught lying. The reason for that was money.

- whstl 1mo agoIt's mutually beneficial to everyone involved, Apple, the blog, the user. No leaked email address, no need for anyone to store password, people using iCloud instead of Gmail. What they're asking, for it to cost zero, sounds perfectly reasonable here.
