Woman Gets on Route 66. Then She Starts Hearing Music Coming from Her Tires
- cwmoore 4mo agoIf GPS weren’t so universally available and precise, TPMS systems could be employed to read and record road section forces as location identifiers.

- IncreasePosts 4mo agoTheoretically you could do it with just wheel rotation data which wouldn't change conditions frequently like roads might. There's probably only one spot in the world where you can start driving, go around a somewhat circular road for 430 feet, have a left turn and go 251 feet, right turn and go 3451 feet

- Modified3019 4mo agoFYI, the “?si=*” part of your link is what Google uses to track you, you can just remove it.
- srean 4mo agoOh my bad, thanks for letting me know. I usually edit out manually, slipped my mind.
- JKCalhoun 4mo agoYeah, was much disappointed when I took a detour with the family on a road trip to explore this one.
- jmclnx 4mo agoWhere I grew up as a kid, we had what was called singing bridges. There were 2 maybe 3 of them crossing the river. There were steel grates where water and snow would fall trough to the river below. When yo drove over the bridge you would hear a hum. I the 90s they replaced these bridges with pavement. That was a bit sad to see, but that is what you get when cities fix everything in the cheapest possible way.
- piva00 4mo agoIf you ever go to Lisboa take a walk under the 25 de Abril bridge, the hum is intense[0]. [0] https://freesound.org/people/Diegolar/sounds/612615/ https://freesound.org/people/Diegolar/sounds/612615/

- LorenDB 4mo agoIt's a really cool concept, but this article has a misleading clickbait title that really turns me off. Could this post be renamed?
- bossyTeacher 4mo agoWhen I read the headline, I immediately thought of this game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/231200/Kentucky_Route_Zero_PC_Edition/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/231200/Kentucky_Route_Zer...
- xnx 4mo agoHeadline and page is clickbait [organic] slop. Better source: https://route66musicalroads.com/ https://route66musicalroads.com/
- amelius 4mo agoNow it is songs. Soon it will be ads.
- JKCalhoun 4mo agoAfter having listened, I think it would sound better up an octave (60 MPH).
- throwaway742 4mo agoThere's also a musical road in Lancaster, CA.
