- jokoon 2y agoInteresting article Neither do those FDA experts from Psymposia or the MDMA advocates, Lykos/MAPS, are doctors or scientists, which is a bit concerning. So why was Psymposia given authority by the FDA? I don't understand that part. Also, the article has many occurrences of "who uses gender-neutral pronouns". Do those people explicitly mention they use those pronouns, or is the author adding those details without explanation? And why mention it several times? It's interesting how Psymposia poses as "leftist" and attacks others for being white supremacist, but I don't see how that's relevant.
- throwawaydony 2y agoThey were given no extra authority from FDA. The article is full of inaccuracies. Three members of Psymposia spoke at a public hearing for three minutes a piece. reply
- jokoon 2y agobut wasn't this treatment refused by the FDA? so you mean those 3 members had no real influence on the outcome?
- throwawaydony 2y agoCould've had some influence, but they weren't even mentioned in the reasons FDA gave for rejection according to the article. They each spoke for 3 minutes at the FDA advisory hearing, but so did 29 other people, many of whom gave overwhelmingly positive comments.
