Could've had some influence, but they weren't even mentioned in the reasons FDA gave for rejection according to the article. They each spoke for 3 minutes at the FDA advisory hearing, but so did 29 other people, many of whom gave

They were given no extra authority from FDA. The article is full of inaccuracies. Three members of Psymposia spoke at a public hearing for three minutes a piece. reply
