So being anti-Genocide is a fireable offense at Google?
- dekhn 3y agoNo, of course not, and I don't even think you meant that question in good faith. More explicitly: you can be (and are encouraged to be) anti-genocide at google. However, disrupting a public company meeting is definitely a fireable offense.

- dekhn 3y agoI don't work for Google (anymore). I did work in cloud and supported their efforts to work with the US military and the militaries of our allies. I'm going to stop responding to this thread because comparing the IEF to the SS is not a worthwhile thing to do in an internet thread about protests.
- smashah 3y agoWhy not? Palestinian children are exploded into a million pieces and scattered throughout the road and rubble by US-funded munitions signed with pithy 3000 year old history lessons, the least we can do is accept the wanton disregard for human life by America's most important ally is akin to others in our modern history.
- shrimp_emoji 3y agoSo everyone who kills civilians is like the Nazis? Wow, I guess everyone who has ever fought in war is like the Nazis. What a wild worldview.
- smashah 3y agoWhatever you need to imagine that I said to help you sleep at night, feel free to tell yourself.
- shrimp_emoji 3y agoI have to drift to sleep to https://youtu.be/9L3M2WC5LPA https://youtu.be/9L3M2WC5LPA at maximum volume to drown out the haunting images. D:
- shrimp_emoji 3y agoYep. It's not like VW defending the Nazi regime. But it could be, in an alternate universe. And that still sucks. For me, it's a principles thing. Personally, I think charging Israel with "genocide" is stupid. But I also think it's shitty he got fired. But I also think companies have a right to fire people. Short of some insight or prescription coming out of those set of opinions, it just makes me hate Google more than I already did. :D
- CommanderData 3y agoThe mainstream narrative is expertly controlled and manipulated. So yes, it is a fireable offense because "We're actually the good guys" to suggest otherwise will label you a bunch of names.

- kadomony 3y agoBeing unprofessional about it in a way that brings reputational (and by extension financial) damage to the business is fireable, yes.
- smashah 3y agoDoesn't being complicit in a plausible-Genocide bring about reputational, and by extension financial, damage to the business? Therefore by your standards the GCP execs relating to engagements to the Israeli Einsatzgruppen Force and their co-conspirators (including the U.S military) should be fired.
- kadomony 3y agoOh yeah, they're TOTALLY the Einsatzgruppen. rolls eyes

- smashah 3y agoWhy do zionists have unlimited justifications for executing a holocaust against the prisoners of the Gaza death camps just so zionists can expand their illegitimate lebensraum?
