Morgan Stanley Sees Dojo Boosting Tesla’s Value by $500B

- impulser_ 3y ago"Tesla Inc.’s Dojo supercomputer may add as much as $500 billion to the company’s market value through faster adoption of robotaxis and network services, according to Morgan Stanley." They said they would have millions of robotaxis on the road by the end of 2020. Almost 3 years later and they aren't even testing them despite SF allowing Waymo and Cruise to test their robotaxis on the streets. They don't even have FSD for their cars despite multiple claims they would have it years ago. Seems like Elon Musk's anti-lidar stance isn't working out well for him.
- ClassyJacket 3y agoTheir cars seem to drive okay on vision only. The interesting thing about their end to end machine learning approach is that it has to be (at least partially) retrained not just for every country, but every state - every place that has different road rules. It's going to be a long time before they get thru every region they sell cars in.

- bfeynman 3y agoAlmost all major cloud players and a few startups are spinning up massive GPU clusters. Saying that building compute creates almost intrinsic value is the greatest bridge selling I've seen in a while.

- jonnelson 3y agoThere is a big gap between having the resources and providing service to others. I'm curious what's the content of the cloud service? FSD SaaS for other automakers? Oh, that's a big deal! But I think it is a decade thing:)
