You can't outrun a bad diet
- krageon 3y agoYou can outrun a bad diet, you just need to run a lot more.
- canofvents 3y agoThere are ~6500kcal in a kilogram of nuts, very easy to consume throughout the day with minimal effort. Running 6500kcal on the other hand seems infeasible for the sturdiest athlete
- GeoAtreides 3y agoIt's very hard to eat a kilo of nuts, because of their strong satiety effects. And yes, 100gr of nuts is about 650 of calories, but that doesn't mean the body will actually "access" all those 650 calories. For example: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2161831323002752 https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S216183132... "The metabolizable energy (ME) of nuts was consistently lower than that predicted by Atwater factors for investigated nut types" "The lower-than-expected ME may explain a lack of association between nut intake and body weight observed in the literature" A search on google scholar for: peanuts lipid bioaccessibility digestibility might bring more studies on this topic
- jdechko 3y ago6500 calories of nuts is a lot. It would also be terrible for quick energy because most of the calories are from fat and protein.
