I know it's only the 11th, but I'm already sick of hearing about the House Republicans. They _barely_ have control of _one_ half of _one_ branch of the Federal government. They can't pass legislation. They can't make binding rules for anyone. Their own power is literally being a giant pain in the ass.
We'd all be way better off as a country if the news media especially treated them with less attention and respect than they are getting right now.
- seanw444 4y agoI love me some good government gridlock.

Their own power is literally being a giant pain in the ass. They can, and quite possibly will, cause a default on the US debt. So we have that to look forward to.

- benzible 4y agoCalling out bad-faith investigations that are explicitly designed to game the "both sides" bias of the news media for what they are. - marcusverus 4y agoSo the media should assume bad faith on the part of Republicans in particular, and call out that bad faith as though it were fact? Or is there some objective case that can be made that the Republicans are acting in bad faith that doesn't apply equally as well to Democrats?

- marcusverus 4y agoThis is an opinion piece which seems to me to be entirely untethered from reality. Far from objective.
