Engineers automating themselves. This is why we should be kinda scared of software innovation stagnating. If we don't work on innovation we don't really have a purpose and a job.
- krageon 4y agoThings are always breaking, everywhere. The people analysing and fixing that are engineers too, but what they do is not innovation. It's maintenance. Nothing wrong with that.
- jimbokun 4y agoHaving a job where I am required to innovate every day, almost by the job definition, is why I like being a software engineer.
