- LUmBULtERA 6y agoNice! What's your maintenance for it like?
- sg_sp 6y agoIt is not complicated. Like any espresso machine it is necessary to clean the water reservoir, the shower screen, once a month or so. I made some changes. The most important was the replacement of the thermostat for a digital control with LCD (PID). I've also changed the seals a few times.
- OJFord 6y agoNice! I bought a (new) Rancilio Silvia, precisely because it seemed that it should last: simple, spare parts availability, community of people modding & repairing; but I'm still impressed at nearly half a century!
- KiwiJohnno 6y agoExcellent choice. After I wore out my first crappy espresso machine I did some research and brought a Rancilio Silvia. That was about 14 years ago, it still gets daily use and hasn't missed a beat.
