Maybe in the end the CFR will be the same as the regular flu.
- dnautics 7y agoThe only thing that matters in the end is total population mortality rate.
- seanmcdirmid 7y agoThat is a bad metric. The death rate could be really bad yet the overall death rate would still not change very much.
- imtringued 7y agoIf I am the only person on the planet with a 100% deadly disease why should I force everyone else to suffer because of me?
- seanmcdirmid 7y agoThe fear and suffering alone is enough to have a negative effect on people, so it matters.
- spookthesunset 7y agoSo is shutting down the entire worlds economy. That has massive, very real impacts well beyond just money.
- seanmcdirmid 7y agoYa, but the anxiety of thinking you might sick and die also has negative impacts beyond just money.
- hellofunk 7y agoIt has already proven to be far worse than the flu in its strain on healthcare systems.

- steve_adams_86 7y agoIsn't that largely due to a lack of immunity? Too many people getting it at once in clusters?
- beatgammit 7y agoIf this becomes a cyclical thing, I'm sure we'll have vaccines for it like we do the flu, at which point it'll just be annoying like the flu is.
