It's almost like performance art. Every now and then some lawmakers dutifully "raise concerns" about surveillance capitalism and the outsize rewards (and subsequent influence) it's combination with the extreme scalabilit

I hadn't heard of this service before - all very interesting. I found another article on Wired [1] that gives a good overview. It's unlikely to be an issue in the wide open spaces of these countries - but an autonomous equivalent

Can't help but trust this article more due to the word "Experts" in the heading. Sarcasm aside, referencing "experts" is usually a red flag for me in articles like this. What incentive is there for the actual experts to offer their opinions

This looks really good - just interesting people talking about the interesting things they're doing. I also like how they seem to have chosen quite a few entrepreneurs outside of the SV hype cycle in addition to the usual suspects like Harj

Once, when riding through a neighbor's land as a shortcut to a far piece of his own ranch, Theodore Roosevelt and some of his men came across a stray calf. The rules of the range were that any stray calf would be branded with the mark of wh

I think people sometimes see numbers in a domain as spammy. But if there's a catchy reason to put the number there then go for it!

Thanks for taking the time to comment! Your point about listing benefits rather than features is excellent - I will definitely be amending the copy. The app's theme is one of being sufficiently simple that it's sector agnostic and I was thi

This is just one of the reasons I recommend Jekyll - a static HTML blog generator. It's an excellent piece of software written by Tom Preston-Werner you can read about here: http://github.com/mojombo/jekyll/wiki Better performance + secur

Reminiscent of how Digg hired far too many people. When you're taking big money and the press puts you in the same sentence as Facebook there must be pressure to be like the other big companies. I think there's also an element of betting go
