I want to learn the notation. Just not everything at once. I need to be able to see real world usecases, otherwise I wont be able to remember and apply the notation. What I meant is learning the notation step by step, topic related.

Speaking from experience, in Germany people refuse to learn any new software and are quickly overwhelmed if 1 thing is different from what they are used to. Open source government solutions are good and all, people will only use them if for

The issue is that I dont want to explicily learn all of the notation but step by step, topic related with usecases in the real world...

A book without expecting any knowledge of mathematical notation would be a good start. I've bought 3 math books to get into it and quit all of them within the first chapter.

Yea got many answers and I dont understand a single one. Good thing you barely need math in programming.

Look im 30, most people I know have forgotten all of school math long ago, me included. Entry barrier too big now.

How long do I have to study math to understand this?

You did not understand my original comment... Doom might be good code but its maintainability is horrendous in modern standards.

My original comment never was about understanding the implementation details. It was about understanding the high level goal of the function.

If the algorithm is well known, it's all good as long as the function name for it is somewhat understandable. I have to work with 200 line functions at work and it's a complete, excuse the language, shitshow.

But who talked about bad architecture? Good readable code doesn't rule out good architecture. Surely some things are complicated but even then, a dev should be able to quickly see whats going on with minimal expertise in a codebase.

I even wrote no matter how it looks? I meant the goal of your function needs to be grasped within a reasonable amount of time. This works for every codebase.

I consider code bad if it takes more then 5 seconds to read and understand the high level goal of a function. Doesn't matter how it looks. If its not possible to understand what a function accomplishes within a reasonable amount of tim

I'm not sure. On one side, having trade relationships would maybe also contribute to peace between the countries who take part in these agreements. On the other side you have countries that might try and conquer instead of building rel

Nah protectionism is really important. Globalization introduces dependencies and therefor allows countries to easily exploit others. Globalization is not as good as you describe it.

I'd argue most companies would never have to touch k8s but Docker is a valuable skill to have.

Yes, just write a small docker compose file and you can start all of the services with 1 command. Either isolated or connected, however OP wants to use them.

I also dont know why OP wants to jump into kubernetes directly instead of just using docker...

Maybe, but I am already a trained SWE (german apprenticeship) and have a well paid job atm. I might consider getting a degree separately at some point. But it will be such a struggle.

Also corps fail to realize that most people arent interested in the actual corp work but rather niche stuff that isn't as marketable. Why would people go out of their way to apply to some corp job?

European university would kill me. I am pretty sure I have undiagnosed adhd and universities aren't made for people like me. Having to learn things i dont care about is practically impossible for me. Its not like I don't want to,
