Good to know, also thanks for the detailed reply! Glad you are fully aware of these nuances, but it also doesn't surprise me considering your amazing presentation of Tigerbeetle! Much success in the future.

This sounds like a strawman tbh, I have worked retail for years and I do not know a single person enjoying retail work. Especially not cashiers. I can understand what you are on about, but do you think this is the majority of people? The is

There is a difference in killing off passion work and mundane work. We are also killing off empathy while we are at it.

Yes, fully agree. Can't believe we live in a timeline in which big tech companies steal data from the many, use this data to train models, sell this data while also convincing technological illiterate people their propaganda machines (

My guy its not only about the art its about killing passion and the lifeline of people. Your take is incredibly ignorant to people who value human created work. These things will kill industries. What jobs should people work in, who got the

The people provide the value, the platform just happens to have a monopoly standing in that domain...

I know that it creates opportunities for people. The question is, could that guy have done it without the monetization part? Certainly, would've just taken a lot longer...

Well it should be a hobby to be a youtuber not a job. Monetizing it destroyed the whole platform.

This sounds really dystopian considering AI agents only benefit people who can afford them in the first place. Really bad development of things. Almost feels like the poorer people are losing a lot of power with this development while only

Why would you pay though its really simple to block ads and youtube is already rich enough. Why bow down to consumerism and enrichment of the already rich?

I learned Javascript was made for making the web interactive. I choose to use it this way. There's nothing wrong with using it for backends too, I just prefer using other langs for that domain as it just doesn't feel right to buil

Agree, been working with Js (frontend only) for a few years now and never had real issues. I wouldn't chose it for my backends though...

Yes, "we" had the choice. Now nobody can afford homes and would ruin their life if they actually went ahead to demonstrate against the system for an extended period of time. We still have the choice, but nobody is willing to sacri

I am a quitter, I start projects for 2 weeks until I find the next shiny thing. I have a tendency to quit once projects go from learning to tedious repetitive work.

Nah actual work is mentally draining. While I avoid work I do private projects that are actually interesting to me. I work, just not on company stuff that I don't care about.

In a few years of my career now I never had to use a debugger or CI. Console debugging is good enough usually. On version control I agree.

Altruism? In rich folk? Usually they convince themselves on thinking they need stuff they don't actually need. Employees can't afford everyday life? Not their issue.
