That's a good point. So it's not really static site generators vs HTML, it's code based static site generators vs WYSIWYG based static site generators.

Lol, this is the top comment for me right now. Blog post: don't use static site generators. Top comment: take a look at my static site generator!

Why not ask him? Maybe give him a call? You have already spent lots of time “together”. You are de facto some kind of companions. I’d definitely be delighted. Mostly it’s me reaching out to users.

Interesting, that's exactly the opposite of my experience. First off I'm not writing plain CSS any more, at all. It's just so much more cumbersome. Maintenance is 100x easier as I don't make unintended side-effects. Btw,

Of course it begs the question: if the keys are sorted, what do we need an index for? A simple halfing method would trivially do it then with btree like performance and infinitely better index size (0). Maybe they may have made an improveme

The slides: https://pgm.di.unipi.it/slides-pgm-index-vldb.pdf It seems they are only talking about compressing the index (keys) not the values. Also, the slides seem to imply the keys need to be set in sorted order? That wa

I have trouble connecting the contents of this post to the title. The scopes of the problems are bigger than the scopes of individual startups. Eg. the ad based monetization model problem calls for a better model _for the entire industry_.

No need to change the syntax! I’ve worked with a financialy company that had really complex logic in there. Every time I had to touch one, I copied it into a code editor and gave it proper indentation, pretty much one variable at a line. Su
