The article addresses it. It doesn't excuse it. EDIT: If you still want to believe he ran 30 marathons in 35 days, I wish you all the best in your continued commitment to that belief.

That's the Bohr model. It works surprisingly well for hydrogen. Then there's the probability-cloud model, which works much better. And then there's the “strictly speaking, the orbital isn't actually a probability distrib

There's a huge push to go peat-free, and I agree 95%. There are just a few uses for peat that don't have an alternative. I mention this to fellow gardeners because if you go 100% peat-free, you'll end up with an expensive dis

I'm on the pill version, which allows me to adjust the dosage on a more day-to-day level. It also doesn't need a fridge, so it allows me to travel more easily. There's a level that works best for me long-term, and it's

Pascal Syntax is horrible for programming. It's verbose and confining. It's wonderful for reading ten years later and figuring things out.

Agreed, and in my opinion he's 100% right. But I'm still invested in both. The market hasn't been working on fundamentals for a long time. I have a fair amount of value stocks and a bunch of cash lying around, so I'll be

Because of crap like this, our business has a standing policy of always using copy and paste when transferring data. We view it as a show-stopping bug when we can't do that from one system to another. Saves us an incredible amount of d

For me, the era of MikroTik is sort of... now. Don't get me wrong, they make powerful and feature-complete stuff, but their UI sort of assumes you really know what you're doing. I don't know what I'm doing. But my LLM do

Fair point, and thanks. Certainly true that Starlink satellites are already successfully dealing with the problem and use a lot of energy. I think the trouble with my thinking was that I was locked into the Shuttle/STS numbers of waste

Any idea how they're handling the space data center heat problems? Energy harvesting in space is easy, while getting rid of heat is quite hard.

In the book, Paul's nine-year-old son fuses baby sandworm larvae to his skin and becomes a worm-god-human-face weirdo. I mean, I've seen Apocalypse Now, but I suspect the movie of that would be... unique.

Que? Market analysis thinks SpaceX sucks as a stock. Heck, it goes against all my value investing instincts for me to even have 2% of my net value in it. To be fair however, 15% of my net value came from Tesla. I obviously have brain worms.

David Lynch's "Elephant Man" was considered a good kids' movie for my 5th-grade class. Put it this way: My dad used to beat me, and that was less traumatic than that movie.
