They have a very strange presence. They are quite wide. All the proportions are odd. It catches one’s eye. I uggly-puppy like it.

They have a form where they ask for an email before giving the download link. My guess is that + a bit of telemetry.

Everywhere where they may be a shadow data science team. And that's how they get you. One has to be very careful to install the Open Source portions. They make no effort to make the boundary obvious. If one does not, IT will get a call

In oil and gas they have "smart pigs", which have all sorts of sensors to detect issues with pipelines. These look much simpler, which is OK if the stakes are much lower.

As a teenager, I backpacked around Latin America with some friends. Due to some issues in Bolivia, we ended up taking the long way to Brazil, through Paraguay. The contrast was stark. We crossed the border and changed buses. Instead of a tr

They were learning. The pre 2 was so much better than the original. WebOS felt much more polished than Android was at the time. The app ecosystem was lacking, but the tooling seemed to be constantly improving. Having had palms since pOS 3,

Absolutely. Rarely do I need a device to have access to the internet. Printers, speakers, sensors, vacuum cleaners, dishwasher. Nothing gets to talk to the outside world. They are appliances, and if they work they work. Unless something is

There is a longer version that shows the inside of the plane. The flight attendant decisively and composedly ushering the passengers off the (upside down) plane. Hats off. https://x.com/rawsalerts/status/1891632984

There is so much to discover in that region. On a geology class field trip, a few hours south of Lima, our instructor stopped and pointed out a mound that would not have caught my eye at all. Then he explained how it makes no sense for a ge

Having taken a few robot vacuums apart, you are spot on. It’s very noticeable. The roombas are the better engineered ones. The worst one was a Shark. It was toy-like in its construction, the wiring was messy, it was simply unpleasant. Also

I love mine, it has a fresh battery OEM battery as well. Runs the latest OS with OpenCore Legacy. But it's starting to get a bit annoying. Usable, but it is starting to feel slowish, the fan kicks up frequently. I might still keep it a

Automation messes up the flow of illegal drugs. The big stuff does not come in a backpack but in container ships/trucks. In LATAM, dock workers make sure this goes undetected. I know of an IE who was championing a dock worker schedulin

Totally. Odyssey availability is a bit better now, but good luck getting a Sienna. We were in the market and ended up getting a 24 Ody exl. There are some discounted models here and there because of the 25 (very mild) refresh.

At least when it comes to Siennas, we are supply constrained. Good luck getting a mid trim level one at MSRP. Odysseys are still hard to get in some areas. The other two are less desirable: Kia's had terrible crash ratings and Pacifica

They had the tooling for 9th gen corollas, which they fitted with mistubishi engines. One cold take a BYD F3 door and put it in a corolla. Fit like a glove.

Wasn’t bombardiers failure the result of Boeing playing dirty and pulling political strings? The commerce department imposed tariffs that quadrupled the price of the plane.

Agree on pure IC ones. Hybrid ones, like the one on the Prius, while still technically a CVT, are nothing like the jatco crap Nissan and others had been putting on IC cars. They are quite reliable.
