I agree with ian0's perspective, but I am compelled by Neil. I think we can learn a lot of patience about the state of software development from this article.

I hope this site can reword their explanation. It's a bit confusing what their intent is, especially in the final paragraph.

I agree with the premise of the article. However, I feel that Steve Klabnik is trying to dispel myths about Rust not being anything "but" safety, to shape how other Rust developers talk about Rust, not denying that Rust's cen

"Edge intelligence" is not going to happen in place of the cloud, simply in addition to it. When storage gets smaller in form factor, maybe we will be storing 100s of TBs in a car, but there will still be a data center storing 100

Californian culture can be stifling at times at how "laid back" it is. There is a culture of lethargy and apathy here that can leave people wanting more, which is why so much talent that grows up here ends up moving to far more ri

You don't have to defend Trump if you don't want to. 1. WP article reads like a "top 10" clickbait article. Only a few things in that list are accurately associated with economic or social liberalism. Liking Hillary Clin

I learned another definition, that politics occurs when a group of people need to make a decision about something.

I have a problem with this comment. Not only did Trump talk plenty about his policy ideas and followers notably chose him based on these policies, Trump's views have never been expressly "liberal". Furthermore, plenty of peop

I agree with the article. I've spent a little bit of time in China, and I find it enjoyable despite its obvious detractors. In many ways, the Chinese lifestyle is refreshing to someone who has spent their life in California. The proble

This presentation is great. I think a good next step on the path toward ending unethical UX could be in creating an international ethics review board for it. I know it sounds silly, but this is how a lot of decisions are agreed upon by many

It shouldn't. People need to realize that, geographically, San Francisco is not a valley. Not only that, but most of the tech companies in SF that are known for being in SF are selling web services and apps, not computers and hardware.

Key here is that you need to figure out how they got in. Then negotiate terms to have them back off. Either way, they're probably being nice about it if they haven't simply 'rm -rf /'d you.
