well, java isn't really complicated. it's just verbose. but my understanding is that d has many of the features of c and modern cpp. that alone makes it more complicated than java...

has anyone used duolingo for an extensive period of time and can confirm it helps with actually speaking a new language? my experience with tools like these is that they help build vocabulary but you can't actually hold a conversation

no need to be concerned really. i have used mysql a while ago before switching to postgres and the stories are the same on both sides :) i think you will hear that only the "enterprise" dbs users supposedly have it nice...

oh my god i do miss inbox! funny how time flies because i even almost forgot about it. what i miss most is the auto grouping (tagging? or whatever it was called) and the one column layout. i found it less distracting. never had the sidebar

that's correct. sentry itself is on python 2.7, not the python client. not to pick on sentry here, but you know, my experience is that people are having a hard time migrating due to them using obscure tricks and features of python 2.7.

that's bad advice. bookmarking is very valuable in this day and age. websites and blogs you swear you have seen before won't appear in search result! searching is failing us but we can start to trust our bookmarks again.

well, talking only of medias, they have reasons to give importance to social medias. if i were constantly reporting risings, protests, riots, movements, etc. that started online, i would give importance to social media too.
