Theres a couple of issues that rarely are mentioned: - for very high traffic websites HTTPS costs a lot of money. .gov sites are not very high traffic. - When you have such high traffic you also have a bunch of old winxp and similar clients

One thing to be careful with these models is that you're moving the burden of maintaining libraries to the application code. So instead of updating packages and what not, you rely on the developer to update the libraries and reship. Su

I'm going to take some hits for that but... with .NET being open source (never liked Mono..) and all.. I'm tempted to use C# in the future again. Using it on Windows has always been good - and now that it compiles to native code t

actually a bunch of uavs can fly 15,000 ft. Most of them can. What's nice is the way they do 360d view, the 6s, the low drag, the smaller camera (setups with gopro - which is 4k too - or bigger are quite .. massive).. and they also see

Yes. If you own a gun it doesn't mean that you're planning to shot anyone with it or that it's bound to happen. If you say you use it as a defense weapon and you actually do that (which is what a lot of gun owners in the USA

trust is always a fun topic, as people are still unaware of how much stuff they trust today. Let's say you trust TOR. Great. Now you have to trust Mozilla's software if thats what you run. Let's say you trust Mozilla too, gre

Because your argument makes no sense at all to the majority (me included). A tool is a tool. Its how you use it that makes it good or bad. I tend to believe that people who see a tool as one that can only be used in one direction, to be the

Thats interesting thanks! I must say Im a little unhappy about installing 10 addons just to have more privacy. Some slow down Firefox more than others, and it takes time to setup everything. I would hope for Polaris to be a one-switch-thing

You're saying obama is responsible for everything - which is not as everything was there before him - and complain when he publicly asks to fix some of the most important issues... Then complain some more about some cult of personality

I call it the "must do something" syndrome. Vps and managers at some point just "do stuff" to justify being employed and salary. So that means pooping out new products, doesnt matter if its great as long as it sounds lik

What about environments with both Windows and Linux? (and OSX, and BSD, and what not). I think a lot of people/companies have some of these. Even if you're 90% Linux for example, and 10% Windows, its nice to have a tool that works
