xz + scp will still be faster than this. its not about the speed at which scp goes, is that the author doesn't compression before sending over scp, but does when he sends over nc and what not... heck you can just use rsync over SSH for

Actually the way DNT works is also its best attribute. I see more as an attempt that almost worked. It did sensibilize people and companies. Theres a want to not be tracked thats greater than it used to be. Its not just a technical issue.

Much defensive. Its easier to look at what things are rather than taking it personally: The engineer tries to downplay the issue by the now conventional "we're working on fixing it". And the whole pr-approved speech. What sho

Not all that much to be honest. it has much more features than the clones and is slower in some conditions. I suspect improving grep would have been a better idea than making tools that aren't as versatile as grep, but...

One of the big issue with taxis is that this is a monopoly and a few powerful people have a lot to gain (not the drivers, obviously). Same problem everywhere in the world right now (the opposing company being Uber or another one does not ma

yeah uberx are still following uber's guidelines and are pretty professional. if they fuck up too much uber terminates their license. uberpop is basically everyone and their dog, ie this is closer to real ride sharing.

Kind of funny to note that the "evil" microsoft never did any of this with the Windows model. Imagine if Windows would make it impossible to install Steam for example.. unthinkable. But if its Google its okay.

there's no such thing as "UAV community" in this case. the vast majority of stupid flights are made by the general public getting a "drone" in some shop and flying it in "funny locations" such as airports.

Indeed, ie the datacenter doesnt expose an OS but a set of APIs. There's enough differences between that and a full OS (which also provides its own API) to call bs IMO.
