routers are more expensive and less flexible these days. industry decided that. what you could get for 50usd (and runs linux, reflashable with your own fw) is now around 200usd and does not support open firmwares like openwrt. because you

yeah, if aws achieves something close to a monopoly we'll be fucked. And of course this is BOUND to happen. If its not AWS it'll be someone else. But it's inevitable.

ppl gotta stop thinking encryption in a db saves you from compromise. Its being very naive or ignorant. It only reduces your exposure to data leak very lightly - in some circumstances, which are generally not even likely (like make a dump a

quick, deprecate all the things that are open. the wave of openneness that started with the web is being extinguished everywhere. mind you, one could improve XMPP, or come up with an open alternative. But this is no longer the focus. Short

I had a bit of a read but I didn't find where it explains (code or doc) how it achieves reproducible builds. It seems like a stricter, huge make-like harness (in fact it reminds me of the mozilla firefox python build system a bit). It&

yes what I meant is that MIG doesn't seem to give root access to the "investigator" through this. Of course the tool has to run as root. GRR/osquery will actually let you run arbitrary code remotely.

This is cool. I like this better than GRR and osquery. The code seems cleaner, more portable than osquery, and as powerful as GRR, all this without making terrible security compromises such as "this tool is the key to all my companies

Basically rent in big cities is extremely low risk income. It means if you're lucky enough to be born/married the right places and own a few buildings, you do not need to work, nor will ever need, nor will your children ever need.
