We've been trying "your" value system for a while now, doesn't seem to be working. Not working is a nice way of saying degenerate, but no one seems to like that word right now.

We explicitly ban bad behaviour in wider society and people still do it and still ruin many innocent people's lives as a result. Drunk driving, violence, disturbing the peace, stealing, coming home drunk and beating your family, etc. T

This is all done by government to effectively disempower the citizens from doing things themselves or in any sort of cooperative manner (even if provably safe etc etc). Oddly enough they turn around and then refuse to protect the citizens f

Maybe this is a reverse fizz-buzz filtering test. I.e. they want to self-select themselves out of positions that require them knowing such basics. Either that or they're completely incompetent. Likewise it takes a special kind of stupi

You'd think it's that easy. Some places literally are unable to do anything unless you're some sort of "signatory" or the actual account holder. No amount of if, buts, maybes, and certified/stamped copies of de

This is purely Uber trying to keep the truth from both sides. They know drivers don't want to take short/crappy/long/etc drives. They know these drivers use various means to avoid taking those rides, yet they do nothing

You make it illegal for people to profit off of the regulation? Make it so the only "money" they get is in the form of paying doctors, psychiatrists and counselors. Raise the bar to prove that monetary compensation is needed. Als

In my context, I live in a different country. Here the real middle-class is taxed way more strictly than in America, due to the high level of inequality skewing the stats. I'm no where near "well off" or "wealthy",

Not just rich friends, some cultures have a big thing for paying for your friends as a celebratory act. You take turns though after many years which averages out anyways though. It helps those in temporary bad times, too.
