It's disturbing to see a comment prefixed with a concern about downvotes, which suggests a gropthink environment. This is a hackers community. Please speak up without fear of lost karma or reprimand from the local celebrities.

I hope SEO can be expected to go extinct in the coming whatever and be replaced with "good content" approach. It is unfortunate that Google even addresses the shady SEO community boosting their might and glory.

You may want to check one of those "lost/stolen Android" apps for your next Android. They allow you to control device remotely, find out GPS location, erase SD card, etc. Quite useful.

A lot of people don't remember Palm OS, but as someone who owned a Palm TX device, I have most fond memories of it. And I still consider it the best handheld device that I had (including my current Nexus 4) in terms of both design and UI, a

I very much enjoy the trend of "tobacco as low class and bad". I can finally go places without inhaling crap and washing my smoked hair and clothes afterwards.

It's quite surprising to me how persistent is the "don't be evil" brand [1] announced more than a decade ago. Since those lean, startup days, Google has evolved into a grand corporate machine with vastly different set of goals and values.

Heh, I always find it amusing how Americans go berserk at the word "socialism". Marx would be proud :) Yet at any rate, socialist policies are virtually non-existent in the U.S (well, except the oldies like 8-hour workday or paid vacations)

I see Oracle as cancer of the corporate world. An old dinosaur who happened to slog into 2013. The new generation of young and socially responsible will hopefully put an end to their kind.

I agree that they should have been more vocal on this issue, cause information vacuum gives way to posts like this and surely it doesn't do them good PR-wise. As for Cyprus, given how volatile and wild the bitcoin ecosystem is, I only tend

No doubt you know your trade. The problem is that it's more of a witchcraft and the way you smoothly lay things out here in the complex intricacies of the financial sector evades people from the simple fact that the banks fucked up. And the

In contrast to a lot of discontent about the Reader's demise, think about the opportunities it brings for this market? I've seen at least 10 alternatives popping up these last 2 days. Google leaving jump-started the competition in a seeming
