Google Search was totally awesome when it first came out. Disrupted the whole industry and set new standards of search on the web. Now I find myself longing for a new company and a new disruption of what is essentially Google monopoly.

It's unfortunate there's not a single country that can withstand US influence. Not even so called "dictators".

This is almost unthinkable, but a very exciting proposition :) However, there's a problem of extensive CIA operation in the EU and history of kidnappings. Can be a little tricky.

If you want to play with Ruby and not Rails specifically, may I suggest a less monstrous framework, like Sinatra [1] or Ramaze [2]. Both come in one gem and have only one dependency - Rack (web server gateway). You do not need a version

I see a lot of disillusion in Europe about the US. It's been going since the Iraq, but now it's a real wake up call. What's more alarming, it's slipping into anger and open opposition. This is not the change we've

Yes, this is the obvious conclusion here. Assange is a dishonest megalomaniac. Snowden is a high school dropout. And Manning is a troubled gay. The leaks be damned.

If western countries had enough balls to stand up against the US demands, maybe it would not turn into such a bully. It's our indifference that led us to wars, drones, surveillance, etc. Not a single country would be allowed to act thi
