Tried Kubed briefly but there seems to be some issue with contexts. Seemed it did not change context and lists always same context listing when polled. Need to test it bit further.

I thought it means exactly that for X you need to run xenodm. But if you don't want to run it by default you can use "doas rcctl start -f xenodm" to start display manager when needed.

I have a bit opposite experience having worked with both. Oracle has tons of features and docs out of the box which aid you get going. Postgresql has good amount but they just don't compare. Though to get access to all of the Oracle&#x

By looking through the comments it seems many seem to think that smallest GDPR violation will immidiately see 20M fine. Isn't it the last method if previous methods are ignored like giving a warning, smaller fines etc. So you don'

To add to Gracana's comment. M:Tier provides openup tool which will update your base system and packages to match -stable. That way you don't have to patch and compile your kernel yourself. For trustworthiness of M:Tier, several p

When did you try it? They fixed ACPI power management issue in 5.8. So if you tried it before that it might explain the battery life issue. I haven't seen any multiple-second system freezes ever. Did you report those issues in bug trac

If speed would be main deciding factor, I'd go with FreeBSD/Linux. OpenBSD network stack is still pretty much under big kernel lock so multiple cores won't help as much. Though in the 5.8 and -current branch they've made

Could you be more specific on what problems you have? Usually OpenBSD has been running quite smoothly. Only issues I've experienced have been on video use. Like I haven't been able to get smooth playback of HD material. And firefo

In OpenBSD you can let the kernel do the power management with "sysctl hw.perfpolicy=auto". Also there was fix in ACPI in 5.8 to fix power use in newer processors. If I remember it correctly the processor didn't use the deep

Only use failover trunk if your wireless network and wired connections share same subnet. Otherwise it work that well. Like once you connect the ethernet cable you lose network connectivity as trunk won't renew your address. Seems the

This is one of the reasons I'm pushing Go at work. I've had to maintain our current apps which have received very little maintenance work during the years and I wish Go would have been present when they were made.

I spent two days trying to get selinux working with our servers and just gave up again. I have actual work to be done instead of turning the selinux knobs. Something simple as tame would be welcome, zero administrative overhead but plugs fe

You need to look a bit closer to see the difference. APU uses cheaper realtek NIC and soekris uses Intel's. Soekris gives Intel QuickAssist to help encryption (VPN etc.). And soekris is showing up a new model later this year: http:&

I like the Intel Atom's. I have a mini-atx case with MSI Intel Atom board with two gigabit ethernet ports. Still tempted to upgrade to newer Atom to be able to go completely passive system. Combine with SSD drive and totally silent server.
