Yet another reason to not use services that require to use one account for many completely unrelated things. You say something wrong on FB and now you can't log into a completely unrelated service. This is why I will never use gmail. Y

And why would the government freeze your bank account, but not arrest you?

Yup - and salaries are paid directly to bank accounts. Mortgage payments are automatically charged directly from bank accounts as well. If your government freezes your bank account - you're fucked.

How would that cash help you wnen your bank account is frozen? You can't receive your salary. Can't pay rent or mortgage. And that cash will run out in a month or two. What then?

If a super religious govermment wanted to punish you specifically - they don't need your transaction history. They can put you in prison using a completely made up reason. Just look what the Russian government did to Navalny. Scare sto

If the state freezes your bank account then you're already fucked. And nothing stops them from raiding your home and confiscating your physical cash as well. I'm from an ex-USSR country. You can't stop an authoritarian govern

Haven't tried it in neighbouring countries yet, but as I understand - it's a virtual Visa/Mastercard card, yeah. So it should be accepted in the same places where my physical card is accepted.

You don't need Google Pay to pay with a phone. I use my bank's app for that. It works just fine without Google Pay.

Not the porn I watch, but the porn that's easily accessible nowadays. BDSM, choking, simulated rape, incest and other more extreme stuff wasn't accessible anywhere when I was a kid. It wasn't something that you could find in

I was not able to access messed up stuff when I was a kid. We didn't have phones and internet. My parents didn't have to do anything special. But in today's environment - you just can't. Unless you lock your kid up and h

Nothing stopped them from implementing low inflation into the BTC protocol. Would have driven away all the HODLers immediately.

If BTC had a relatively stable price and low inflation then it could challenge the private banking system. But its volatility is only attractive to gamblers and speculators. It's the opposite of a good currency.

In many cases Wikipedia's source links are dead. And nobody bothers to update them. Or they cite some random book that I have no way to get and read myself. Who checks if that book actually exists and is not made up? Especially if it&#
