Thankfully we have Stable Diffusion.

Yup - passing laws that straight up ignore the Constitution would set a really bad precedent.

But why would you donate your hw without wiping it?

The Constitution is not set in stone - it can be amended. If the Constitution is amended in a legal way then how is it disrespectful?

People are still playing chess despite the fact that a mobile phone can easily beat the world champion. There are millions of people who are better programmers than me, but somehow I still have a job.

There's still freedom of speech in countries with stricter gun laws. Also in my country prostitution and abortions are legal. So stricter gun laws don't always lead to other restrictions.

I bought my GPU back in 2021. I had the same computing power as I have now, but back then it could only generate crappy pictures. AI image generation has improved massively in a few months without increasing hw requirements.

Narcan only works if there's someone else who can administer it. And that someone else should be sober enough to do it.

LORAs were invented so that we don't have to retrain the whole model if we want to add something new. Retraining the whole Stable Diffusion base model costs a lot of money. But training a LORA on a few thousand images is totally doable

Can I train a LORA on premise instead?

Why would EVs threaten oil & gas industry - they contain lots of plastic that is currently made out of oil. Also electricity is still being generated from fossil fuels in many places. And I don't see stuff like diesel generators go

Russia has been doing this long before the USA even existed. It's not comparable to the Iraq war. A better comparison would be the USA invading Canada.

No, they aren't effective, because NK, India, Israel and Pakistan developed their nukes despite treaties like the NPT.

You can't even convince Russia to stop a war that they are clearly losing. Good luck convincing them to stop working on AI research.

They already have nukes. If a dirt poor country like North Korea can develop them then so can pretty much everyone else.

Yeah, but I don't think that they would do it. We already had Brexit and the UK was allowed to leave. Had they not colonised Northern Ireland - the leaving process would have been even easier.

A leaving country could keep using the Euro while working on the transition back to their own currency. When the USSR collapsed - its former members continued to use Soviet rubles for some time until they transitioned to their own currencie

Don't know about iTunes, but some music on pirate sites was only available in 128k or below. I'm so glad that I don't have to hunt for quality releases on those sites any more. Spotify doesn't have this problem.

They could reintroduce their own currency after leaving. Montenegro is using the Euro despite not being part of the EU or Eurozone. They can switch to other currency if they want to.

Thankfully Spotify came out and it reduced music piracy far more than all the RIAA lawsuits combined by simply offering better service than both RIAA (who wanted to sell albums only) and pirate sites (that didn't offer discovery featur

Those who are against gay marriage say that it does harm to families. Those who are against abortions say that they are against killing babies. They also argue that those things aren't political opinions. Currently I'm not afraid
