Gay marriage is illegal in my country. What if conservatives get in power and decide to deplatform those who argue for marriage equality? Remember that "your side" won't be in power forever and deplatforming for political rea

Would it be OK to cut off access to water, electricity and heating for beliefs that some people consider bigoted? Said something wrong on the internet - no more water for you - go dig your own well. What's the difference between an ele

Many people would consider cutting off access for those a very good thing. Political polarisation sucks.

In other countries all of those are legal. Also there's a very obvious difference between the 1st one and the 2nd one. Try telling a random woman, that you matched on Tinder or whatever, that you'll pay for sex. You'd get ca

In some other countries prostitution is legal, but brothels and pimping are not. Legalisation of pimping isn't necessary.

If that text contains something that causes ChatGPT to respond with "As a language model..." then it's most likely written by a human.

AI training is a one-way operation - you can't reconstruct the dataset from a model/lora/ti. Unless it's something really blatant like real people, widely recognised copyrighted characters like Batman or Iron Man - it&#x

The AI learned about copyrighted characters largely from marketing materials. So why should corpos be able to force me to watch the ad for, say, the latest Iron Man movie, but at the same time say that I'm stealing from them when I us

Back in the 80-90s you could earn money by making games for the NES. You can still do it - lots of documentation, emulators and other tools are available. But nobody is going to pay for it now.

The purpose of software companies is to earn money not to give jobs to people who "want to code". Lots of people learned how to make games for NES, SNES, PS2, PS3, etc. All those machines are now obsolete. Current gen consoles are

Torrent use has been slowed down by Netflix, Spotify and Steam. I haven't pirated a song or a game for more than a decade. Carrot is stronger than a stick. And why would a German go to a torrent site? They have lots of money.
