How is Kagi better than simply using google without an account through a VPN? Or using DDG through a VPN? I really don't like that Kagi requires you to have an account. They can then associate all of your searches to that account just

Some parts of RationalWiki aren't that rational any more, unfortunately.

In case when someone deliberately seeks such material, purchases it on a darknet market or distributes it to others - I totally agree. But how does prosecuting someone for accidentally viewing it, because some sicko posted it on a public fo

Oddly enough - a lot of PS3 games are running on PC pretty well, but there's no PS4 emulator despite the fact that the PS4 is x64 based.

There's plenty of fallacies and false facts in texts written by real humans.

That means that custom Android roms should be banned. Oh and desktop PCs too, because you can "sideload" anything there. Banning sideloading is unrealistic.

If the app is not illegal elsewhere then sideloading it is trivial. The UK can't force app stores in other countries to take down e2e communication apps. Repos like F-Droid will keep hosting them.

I tried running gpt4chan locally. It's pretty good at generating politically incorrect, racist, misogynist and antisemitic stuff.

I would not be surprised that it could be considered probable cause to investigate you further. To check if you have links to neo-nazi groups and the like. People don't usually keep those materials just for fun. They usually distribute

Cool, then I will know what to avoid. People who boast that their company is <insert identity here> owned do that, because their product can't compete otherwise.

PS3,PS4 and PS5 system software is based on FreeBSD. So it's actually one of the most popular OSes that are used for gaming.

GPL is not the only open source licence out there. MIT, BSD, CC-0 and others don't put any stupid restrictions on derivative works.

That's how open source software works. You are allowed to sell it.

The difference is that AI training is not illegal and styles aren't copyrightable. So you can already make stuff in the style of some other artist and then sell it.

If someone wants to learn stuff from your work - they will and there's nothing that you can do about it. I can train a LoRA on someone's artstyle in a few hours on my PC. You can rent a GPU and do it under an hour. It takes more t

Do their first party games also get those discounts? Another thing is that I can play games that I bought 15 years ago on my Steam Deck. Nothing like that is possible on the Switch. Even if you owned, say, Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U - you ha

Open source models are possible if we pick the second option. Lots of innovation in the AI scene is happening thanks to open source models being available to the general public.

Steam Deck supports external gamepads. There's a dock too. It even supports switch joycons though you can't split them.

It's not really a lower-cost alternative due to cartridge prices and no sales. I chose Steam Deck instead of the Switch. Yes the SD is more expensive, but it already supports most of my existing Steam library and I can buy new games on

And this is why I don't want to buy any Apple device. It seems that it's all or nothing for them. If you have a mix of apple and non-apple devices then you'll have all sorts of compatibility problems.
