GTA games have been making fun of pretty much everyone. But there's this one group that you're not allowed to tell jokes about. I'm old enough to remember how gamers laughed at people like Jack Thompson who wanted to censor a

There's no need to run games at those high resolutions natively. Modern games now render only stuff like UI at the monitor's native resolution while the 3D viewport is rendered at a lower resolution and then potentially upscaled u

If a model has been trained on a diverse dataset and doesn't suffer from overfitting then that's pretty much impossible.

Videos aren't a very good source for training data, because they usually contain compression artifacts and motion blur. I've experimented with AI training using video screencaps and, unfortunately - the resulting quality isn'

Just need to figure out how to do AI inference without tanking rendering performance. Offloading AI stuff to a cloud would make single player games unplayable offline and their servers won't stay online forever. Another solution would

They can already replace stock image sites. Why pay getty/shutterstock an obscene amount of money for a photo if you can simply generate something similar with a prompt for free? I checked how much some images cost on getty images - an

It doesn't store the original images, but it has learned how getty images watermark looks like and where it's located, because it has been repeated millions of times. So it sometimes can return that. This is why it's importan

Adobe trained their own model only on public domain images and on images that they own. Do you think that they should not be allowed to do that?

What if someone trains a model on public domain works only? Also adobe sort-of did that already - they trained their own model only on their own images. So no "IP theft" there.

What if someone trains a model on public domain works only? It hasn't been done, because the law doesn't require it. LAION-5B is a big mess and its caption quality is all over the place. Stability.ai basically chose a brute-force
