I'm upset that I have to go through StubHub, which exposes me to shady sellers (who I have zero means to vet - I can't even see who is selling which tickets). E.g. https://twitter.com/Jason/status/7384896

What changes are you hoping for in the experience? I think my Nest thermostats work great, and frankly I'd rather that they not muck with that in the name of "improvement." It's basically an appliance, and part of my hou

This is interesting. I have had Nest thermostats for several years, and overall I think they're great, but I have definitely felt the need for remote sensors (our upstairs thermostat in particular is in a really bad spot). A couple of

This is one of the biggest reasons that I (happily) choose to live in the suburbs. It is silent at night. Some people seem to consider this a bad thing ("it's so boring!"), but I find that I sleep much better than I ever have

My MySpace account apparently predates my use of Gmail for my primary address[1], so I can't find the welcome email. I may try to sort through my old Maildirs later tonight to see if I can find it, but my hopes aren't high. That d

A while back I instituted a personal rule that I am not allowed to use my phone or laptop while watching TV or a movie. My rationale is that if I am uninterested enough in the show to need additional distraction, the show is not a good use

This seems to be happening to me more often lately too. Until recently, the robocalls I'd get came from seemingly random numbers, but now the majority come from at least the same area code as my number, and sometimes as you say, the fi
