So true! May I add that timing and context matters too. When I was living in Paris I used to read on the subway to and from work, which added up to 30 minutes a day. I went through lots of books that I would otherwise not have the mental st

My company provided an iPad + pencil, and my group has another one in the office. It’s better than nothing, but it’s nowhere near as effective as doing the Raj and Sheldon “stare at the board” act. It’s true that on a physical board you ca

Same. I’m 100% remote in a very technical field, and the thing I miss the most is to work out a problem with my colleagues at a whiteboard.

There is also another type of comb that is extremely useful: the GKP qubit (introduced in https://arxiv.org/abs/quant-ph/0008040 ). Its wavefunction is a comb.

I feel I finally can put a name to my coding style! Incidentally, I also like to pretend classes and functions exist even if they don’t. Of course my discovery code won’t work, but I can go very far and discover a lot of useful information

This is fun, but from what I understood, the purpose of those random sms is to "warm up the number", so the best course of action is to either ignore them or reply STOP.

I don't have specific recommendations, I mostly use libraries to draw quantum computing circuits, but they're not great for tensor networks even though they share some features. Man, we think alike. Btw, I've seen you work wi

There are some libraries, but the style is so not standardized that I understand your desire to write your own. Back in 2020 I wanted to write a library based on manim to animate the contractions, but I never came around to it (and manim ba
