I haven't found a web server language to my liking yet. Maybe I'm too picky, but I'd like to satisfy all of these requirements: - Static typing -- I want to eliminate as many runtime bugs as I can - Type inference -- Like in

It's difficult to have a policy or heuristic here. If you side with "trusted" sellers, then it all hinges on what your definition of "trusted" is. Scammers will behave themselves until they are considered to be tr

Order doesn't matter! And it still returns similar results without the `Eq` typeclass constraint.

Haskell has Hoogle[1], which allows you to search for functions using a type signature. This is surprisingly effective. Let's say you want that `contains` function from the original post. You'd search for `(Eq a) => a -> [a

It's at least reasonable to cover travel costs for interviewers. I was given a $40/day stipend for food and reimbursed gas and hotel when I interviewed at my current job.

I'm genuinely curious -- how would the NSA would crack it? My understanding is that iOS's filesystem uses AES 256 encryption. Even if you physically removed the disk, brute force is not an option.

Apple has a private key for signing software updates. The FBI wants a modified iOS that will allow them to rapidly try all possible passcodes without getting locked out after N attempts.

Honestly, it wouldn't take very much work for Apple to circumvent the lockout mechanism. It might even be possible just by commenting out a couple lines of code. The thing the FBI needs from Apple is the use of their private key.

I imagine prices will stay the same and the ISPs will just eat up what we used to pay in tax.

I see a couple workarounds to their problem. 1. They could stop broadcasting their network's SSID. 2. They could change their SSID and spoof a different MAC address every day. Their ISP sent them a new router, but I imagine that will

Since the PS4 OS is based on FreeBSD, you could conceivably match up parts of the compiled PS4 kernel with FreeBSD source code. However, I bet there's some sort of obfuscation that their compiler performs to make it difficult to decom

Honest question: In what way does Linux give you less control than BSD? Binary blob drivers are just as necessary on BSD as on Linux. Are you referring to Ubuntu's built-in Amazon searches? Because you can just not use the Unity desk

That's exactly my point. If the speed (= distance / tick) is represented by a float, then we can travel no faster than the max float value.

Wanna know the real reason? C is just the maximum floating point value of the computer that our universe's simulation is running on. Similarly, the Planck length is the value closest to zero.

Vim can already do horizontal and vertical splits. If you use tmux and fire up multiple instances of Vim, you'll lose some good things like ctrl+n autocompletion of words in other files.
