That's a term of service that I'm not too worried about. I'm not going to cry if they terminate those two accounts (main account is paid, so that's not in violation). And I'm not doing anything unusual or abusive wi

This is why I think Reddit will be easier for people to move away from. For the most part you're not interested in any individual, just the topics.

They should be, but those aren't a solution for anything where you want to share, collaborate, or even just ask questions on.

I have a GitHub account under my real name, but recently I've started using GitHub under a couple of other names instead. There's so much stuff you do in public on GitHub that I want to avoid people doing exactly this kind of anal

Nope, I remember when I was young flipping through options for different assistants seeing that his name was Clippit. Bothers me to this day that people call him Clippy and would look at you as if you had two heads if you called him Clippit

WTF is a recommendation in the context of a language model? It does not have preferences, just weights influenced by proximity and frequency of tokens.

I'm not even going to bother reading this. No one should be returning to Reddit at this point, no matter what they say or claim to be changing. They're still going to make user hostile decisions as long as they think it will make

That also made me angry to watch. He knew what he was doing and got the result he was hoping for. I hope his electric company is aware of what happened. The serial number and electric company name are both clearly visible in the video.

Having defaults sucked anyway because any subreddit that ended up on there was almost guaranteed to plummet in quality. IIRC the only subreddit that managed to avoid that (way back when I still used reddit) was /r/science because

All of these are options that your company chooses from. It's possible to have it just show an approve button, to have it show a selection of 3 numbers, or to show the number entry box. Whether or not you are prompted for your password

Authenticator has options that avoid approval fatigue. There's a setting that causes it to show a number on screen, and then an option between providing a list of 3 numbers you have to pick from or showing a textbox that you have to ty

Shortcuts and default keybindings are exactly why I haven't touched Dvorak. I don't want to remap them in every application I use (if the application even supports that). And the remapping might not even be consistent. Take Ctrl-C

The thing that's espcially nice about that interop is that Zig includes its own C compiler. That eliminates the pain of having a build script locate an installed C compiler and figure out what options should be passed to it.
