I know I heard a rough number at some point of the value of a Premium view vs an ad supported view. Can't find it without digging, but here's a source for them being a good amount more valuable https://youtu.be/-zt

That's something I've wished for a long time that it had. I know you can use exceptions to get similar behavior but it's really ugly and I just generally don't like raising exceptions for cases that aren't actually

It seems to be quick to apologize and I would also be interested if people can find thresholds. ChatGPT with the GPT-4 model doesn't want to accept that there are 13 inches in a foot. Me: How many inches are in a foot? ChatGPT: There a

Sure, but if OpenJDK is exposing that function then anyone who is using it will get the correct output when OpenJDK fixes the problem. If everyone copies the function into their own code then in many cases it's likely to never be corre

Metric should have been base 12. You get more typical factors than base 10, and it's not an absurd deviation from base 10 (base 60 would allow for the same factors as both 12 and 10, but I doubt anyone would be happy to adopt that)

This misses that the browser sandbox doesn't include sandboxing internet access. I can't be sure that the application will never send what I enter into it out to the server that's hosting the app. Also any changes to the app&

curl is an excellently powerful library and utility but I agree that wget has better defaults. I am almost certain to get the behavior that I want by just throwing a URL at wget, including retrying from the point where it had an issue. I ac

That is a bizarre misrepresentation of what they were saying. They're just surprised that people are making themselves a generic person instead of using some of the options that add more fantasy elements to the character. Though I'

Were you using GPT-3.5 or GPT-4? I could not manage to get GPT-4 to have the problem, though I did give up when my browser started to slow down as the output became massive. Also the easiest way to get it to repeat something is to give it a

A note to anyone using a high DPI display: you can build this from source and get a version that scales itself cleanly instead of forcing the OS to make a blurry mess out of it.

For the `operation` vs `op` example, it's highly contextual. If it's used in a narrow scope or if it's repeated many times (like I've seen in functions that copy fields of one structure to another), `op` is preferable. O

One question I have about the double ampersands when applied to types is: do they represent two different concepts depending on usage? Like I know that they indicate an rvalue reference, but they're also used for perfect forwarding. Th
