The reason I would expect is that they think the teachers are showing their kids explicit sexual content, encouraging them to be transgender, and telling them about how they should hate America and white people. Is that not accurate?

Add the signing authorities to your systems certificate store if it's that big of an annoyance. Or make your own custom alias that includes -k. But this absolutely cannot be default. HTTPS ensures that you are connected to the server y

Is curl able to retry from the middle of a file? Beyond the sane defaults that's where wget has been nice for me; if the connection drops it can pick right back up where it left off.

I think the title of this needs to be changed as it implies that this is a preprocessor project named Pydong. As far as I can tell that's simply the name of this blog and this post is about how python has a preprocessor built-in if you

God that error is nearly useless even to the developer. Last couple of times I've gotten it, I've dropped the DLL that the error originates from into Binary Ninja and run the debugger to figure out which parameter failed a check.

> Then comes the licensing issue. Often, when searching for an obscure topic, the code ChatGPT generates is very close to what's found on Github, but said code often comes with a non-permissive license, unlike what the AI generates.

That makes sense now that the other reply pointed out the Join button being filled in. The like and dislike buttons are internally consistent but the entirety of the buttons down there are not consistent.

Huh... somehow I noticed that but it never really registered with me that it's inconsistent because I've never wanted to join a channel.

This is my experience with trying to use AI for coding tasks too. I've had back-and-forths with AI that involve me trying to get it to fix things to get a final working function, but since it doesn't actually understand the code,

I don't understand how... You always have two thumbs there which means you can contrast the state of being just an outline with the state of being filled in.

I've only noticed this a couple of times, I guess because it needs to specifically be that phrase about "smashing" the button. The thing that I do see on every video that reminds me to hit the like button is seeing the counte

I don't think there's any feature there with the video jumping back. That purely seems to be a bug where it fails to resume the connection to the server to continue filling the buffer. It seems to hit the end of what is buffered a

But the hacky solutions actually get done what people want the software to do. The point between me and the parent poster is that a solution necessarily being hacky is not a good reason to not implement a feature. And TBH the VLC example ha

I just got my AirGradient Ones a couple weeks ago. It was quite nice that I was able to set them up local-only with absolutely no fuss. Works wonderfully with Home Assistant. Also it was definitely worth saving money going with the DIY vers

I notice a lot of devs try to deny the chaos of the world. It's almost like the code is where they go to hide from things that can't be cleanly and unambiguously expressed. I don't know how they get away with that though. In

Not surprising. That man seems so off. Like how he always says he's just doing his videos for the likes, while at the same time using the videos to advertise his book. Or how he leans so heavily into having worked at Microsoft but then

It really sucks to hear this. I was going to once again try swapping back to Android with these new Pixel devices but it sounds like it's going to be a downgrade from the Apple ecosystem. I'm not happy with the things that Apple d

Linus Sebastian has said the exact opposite of that whenever he's discussed the breakdown of where the money that Linus Media Group makes comes from. Premium views are worth more than free views.

I actually find it a bit of a curse to know too many languages. Because settling on one for any given project becomes very difficult. Like you start coding it up and then hit some friction and start thinking about one of the other languages

It seems the purpose of this proposal is to have a way to essentially have custom string interpolation. I don't think that's necessarily a bad idea on its own, but this syntax feels out of place to me. Instead, why not add a singl

This is confusing and annoying UX. If you try to uncheck the final option, it instead runs away from you. If you don't know what's going in you may even try to chase it!
