As someone who had a 3090 because that's all I could get my hands on at the time, I would not recommend anyone consider the XX90 products. Leave those for the over-the-top, money is no object, "I'm just flexing on you" b

I looked into upscaling for the original episodes of Police Squad. Paid a good chunk of money for an AI upscaler because I was too curious how good of a job it could do. The results were not great. When there's too many different thing

The mushroom thing is almost certainly true. There's tons of trash AI generated foraging books being published to Amazon. Atomic Shrimp has a video on it.

Yeah Jira is just a ticket tracking system. Everything to do with the fields that need to be filled in, the workflow steps you need to move tickets through, and the granularity of tickets are entirely an organization specific thing.

I do agree, but I'm not sure people are actually thinking about the potential risks. Because it's easy to say "what risk can there possibly be?" but it's hard to actually answer that dismissive question. Also, the i

Exactly. It's not a good idea to bypass policies at work. Just because you don't know why the policy is there or you disagree with the reason, it doesn't mean you can ignore the policy. If you can't get your job done, th

Mint was the worst experience for me. The trackpad acceleration curves are bad and there's no easy configuration for it. I was willing to either toy with sliders or copy an already tuned config into a file. But the best I found was how

What database is this specific to? PostgreSQL? Those first two are entirely invalid in T-SQL. Even attempting to write it as SELECT IIF(NULL AND 1=1, 1, 0) doesn't work. The AND operation can only be applied to a boolean type and the o

The same unbranded, zero QA, zero accountability products direct from China being sold on Amazon are also a problem. The only difference with Amazon that puts them like a single rung above Temu and Shien is that they also sell proper brande

It absolutely is a problem intended to be addressed by the GPL. That's why it is specified in the GPL that the source code means the code in its preferred form for making changes.

It's a massive downside. When I was using the JSON parser I found it very annoying that it could only tell me the input JSON was invalid, not where in the input the problem was.

I just assume that any of this cheap unbranded garbage is filled with shit that's toxic. The Chinese companies making this stuff has no reason to care. They can't be held liable for anything.

Yep I've done that before, it's how I know linking to the C runtime is what bloats the binary. For most real projects I wouldn't disable linking it, but it's fun to see the output get so small.
