Whenever I think there can't be any worse of a "use case" to dockerize something, someone comes along and proves me wrong... For the last goddamn time: Docker is not a package manager!

You can add text - essentially a wiki page - to a commit and edit it any time. Additionally, you can also add tech notes, which are wiki-like entries in the timeline alongside commits.

It was an antenna opening in the roof, not one of the - by the way perfectly fine - windows that blew.

People are working on R7RS-Large, a lot of the standard is decided upon by now. I suspect, though, it'll take another five years... https://github.com/johnwcowan/r7rs-work/blob/master/WG2Docke...

R7RS is very much worth supporting; there'll shortly be a Chicken Scheme 6 with full support for R7RS-Small. R7RS-Large development is slow, but not at all dead.

I can highly recommend Chicken Scheme, it does exactly what you want :) It has also a nice friendly community, and a couple hundred extensions.

The influence of language on thought is marginal; theories like sapphir-whorf have been falsified many times.

Just fyi, the "native" Americans are not native either, but got America by fighting the actual first settlers before them.

Even for learning in general. We even had teachers who told us we're allowed to make tiny cheat sheets - about 6x3cm or something - because the mere process of creating the sheet is a good learning strategy, and to fit all you don'

That's a nice excuse at first sight, but there is no reason not to just use a normal, physical lock, instead of making the lock worse for absolutely everyone and excusing it with "but accessibility!", all because a few peop

Ah, that is what that design is called? Heh. I've seen it, among other names, also been referred to as "chalkboard design". It also reminds me quite a bit of the style you use when drawing on flipcharts, and actually of 90s

I've just way too often seen these fake-physical locks be broken, or working in an unexpected way (with a fucking explanatory sticker with three lines of text explaining it). Who signs off on such crap?

But it isn't improving anything. Just like with the idiotic new door beeping the EU made mandatory, nobody can tell who it's actually for.

Pretty much so, yes. It is cheaper to just get some random dude on Fiverr who has no clue about GUI design, but can whip up something pretty that impresses the manager who has no idea about UX and GUI design either.
