I'm sorry but this is difficult to believe. The site says that it's unlawful to do "minor vehicle repair [...] Using tools not normally found in a residence". If it was just a zoning law, why does it have to include that

Easy, show a pop-up informing the user that the application tried to access so and so file, and if this was intentional, please click allow and try again.

Couldn't it be possible to ask the user to allow certain directories or files? It might be kind of annoying but it would be safer. Also, it could integrate with the open file dialog and only allow the application to access files select

Also, the legal system in America is absolutely racist/classist as well. You could be optimistic and think of that as a holdover from more racist times, but either way it does kind of track with the story the op linked to.

Ah I see. I didn't know that. Usually I use option arrow keys or command arrow keys for that. Hopefully this supports those.

Can you elaborate what you mean by readline style controls? Looked it up but that didn't help.

I also want to add that the behavior is different: holding the right mouse button then releasing closes the native context menu, but doesn't close the Firefox context menu. Going into "mission control" closes the native conte

This makes me very happy. It sounds dumb but I've considered switching from Firefox just because of the context menus.

That's kind of sad though, since that type of issue is really valuable if the project is under active development.

That's an interesting point, especially since V8 is already used for running multiple applications that need to be sandboxed from each other. It would probably be a big effort though, and to get any real benefit from it, applications w

Maybe so, but it becomes more serious when it's about policy. Not liking someone or leaving a snarky comment on twitter isn't the same as stripping people of citizenship or having state-sanctioned violence against a certain ethnic

I've found that it's much easier to sleep in this temperature than the rest of the day. You just bundle up under several blankets and it doesn't feel that different. Living in a 30 degree house does take some getting used to

I think a crud app is great for "directing" the user through the common changes they will make to the data, like approving a document by clicking a button for example. But a simple tabular view of your data is really great too if

I can't speak for anyone else, but I would trust a service like this a lot more if i could easily export all my data. I would do so on a regular basis, basically as a backup. The other concern is what happens if you shut down or decide

Why is hacker news full to the brim with this exact comment? This is a flawed worldview. Private companies cannot do whatever they want. When they are as big and their reach is as far as Apple's they have a further responsibility to so

I don't know what the next step is, but the fact that pretty much everyone knows that there will be no jail time despite them openly committing crimes to defraud so many people isn't going to lead us somewhere good.
