We had a HN discussion where users brought up situations where uB could not replace uM. IMO what really killed uM was major API changes by chrome and Firefox.

Nowhere near as bad as the Apple vs Samsung. IIRC, one guy in the jury had lost his business in a previous court fight with Samsung. How was that not discovered during the jury selection process?? Edit: this was not a popular comment..

Yeah, there are ways to trun this into something useful and at the same time help people. Not at all making light of the pandemic, but I think this was a missed "opportunity" for those guys.

Whoever is in charge of Corona public relations should be promptly fired for not doing a better job here. For example, they could have included one cheap mask (with their logo with their 6-packs so "you only get the good corona"..

I personally want open discussion within boundaries. So does the law. Regarding the rest, do you realise that HN is worse in this regard since the flag mechanism can be abused by much fewer participants?

You are reading this completely wrong! I don't agree with much of the discussion on r/sweden. But it has an open discussion without any bullying or hate speech. There are other subs that promote hate and ban everyone not agreeing

What I really want is a big list of subs with actual useful stuff. No memes, no hate or soft-hate [1] but useful things like electronics or how to play the piano. [1] have you noticed that many of top subs are about either watching others

I wish reddit and others would archive and preserve accounts of people convicted of various crimes. It would be extremely enlightening to follow radicalisation and communication of, say, an incel terrorist.

Not sure what your issue is. I find r/sweden pretty okay, not perfect but tolerable. They don't allow outright hate speech which is btw illegal anyway. Misinformation is usually not deleted but often called out and down voted by m

First time I hear about QuickLogic, can you tell us about your experience work them? How well does their FPGAs work and how much can you do with the open source tools (e.g. timing driven synthesis)?

I think you are forgetting two important facts that counter your arguments: 1. A significant number of Swedes were in Lombardy (northern Italy) at the time the European outbreak started there. Furthermore Sweden has at least two major compa

I agree with parent that unit testing privileged bare metal code is not always possible, at least not without spending 10x-100x dev time on writing tests. Example: anything that directly accesses MMU or caches.
