Why not use heat pumps to heat the mass? What if the air conditioner exhausted the heat into your mass battery? It's not either/or.

What if aliens have no notion of discrete numbers, what if everything is probabilistic analog math? What about an organism that can see/focus/sense multiple things simultaneously, and a single "thing" is a set. What ab

The trolling terrifies me. Trolling someone by creating awful video (just think about how deeply, photo-realistically, awful it could be - porn is just the tip of the iceberg) is going to get really bad. I am not sure how this is going to s

I do this too! I have been doing it for about a year now, and haven't ever run into someone else that does this kind of audio-journaling. Would you be up for comparing notes sometime about how it is working out for you? I am finding

You might also find this academic paper interesting: https://philpapers.org/go.pl?id=NGUTIS&aid=NGUTISv1 The title is a bit click-bait-y, but the argument is sound, I think. Forcing transparency changes how people do th

Fantasy novel covers are exceedingly easy to do because of the mountain of examples in the training data. Basically: any kind of art that we have lots of examples of are very easy to make with these tools. My fun has been with two games:

The consistent temperature of steam is the key, I think. The rest is the mass and density of the eggs... but the easy-peeling of the steam is the reason I keep coming back to it.

you missed the important point, IMO: being hungry. it's bizarre that we can be mechanically and nutritionally full yet still be hungry. These low BMI individuals were not hungry. WTF is going on with the hunger response being so mes

The third week suuuuucks. I did 4 weeks. The third week was the worst. I was sick of potato and my weight loss plateaued in the third week. It started going back down again in the fourth, which offsets some of the boredom. I don't

I felt fine after a month of nothing but potato and a few cheat days. But... it's not just potato. I ate oil too. And spices and vinegar. And a sweet potato every few days for variety and B-vitamins. But as far as I can tell you ca

Having done 28 days of the potato diet, this is true. It is difficult to get over 1kcal of potato. Eating two kilos of potato in a day is heroic. I would eat like 1 kilo per day, and be satisfied-full. It's wild.

potatoes have like 3g of protein per potato. And to stay full you eat _a lot_ of potato. I tried it! It was easy, then not easy, then totally shitty, then fine, and then I was done (28 days). I ate a few sweet potatoes along the way for

I wish i could afford to do what you are doing, but I can't survive in 2022 USA and support my family without access to credit. It is maybe possible, but it is wildly impractical. And the ability to borrow helps to smooth out the turb
