it's called 团购, which is literally (group buying) they just buy in large quantities and resell at slightly lower price than consumers can get individually

Do they? It’s highly problematic because it’s basically an arms race. Everyone bemoans it but they do it anyway because otherwise you feel like you can’t compete. It leads to wide spread body dismorphia and severe self image issues
