I’ve had exactly the same idea! Living in LA I sometime imagine how the city will look like in hopefully ten years or less when robots pick up all the litter! Hopefully there will also be landscaping robots and sidewalk/road repair bot

I ran a message board for a little bit back in 1997 but I didn’t really moderate it and just left it alone. I came back months later and it had somehow become a strange two-topic forum. I assume because somebody had randomly posted about ea

I had a sense things may be turning against them when my accountant asked me last week if I’d like to participate in their new round ($750B premoney) with no carry. How am I suddenly blessed with such exclusive access, at no cost?!

This comment about the OpenClaw guy hits a little too close to home: “Peter Steinberger is a great example of how AI is catnip very specifically for middle-aged tech guys. they spend their 20s and 30s writing code, burn out or do management

This inspired me to make https://poputrend.clodhost.com/ You can mess with assumptions and see how it projects out the population of any country/continent/the globe (based on 2024 data and trends).

ClodHost.com ... it's basically lovable but just claude (opus 4.6) on your own root ubuntu server, with a web wrapper to claude code. And no credits, unlimited claude usage. Also free if you sign up now to help me with beta testing! th

I actually use dozens of claude codes "in parallel" myself (most are sitting idle for a lot of the time though). I set up a web interface and then made it usable by others at clodhost.com if anybody wants to try it (free)!

AI has more knowledge than everyone already, I wouldn't say smarter though. It's like wisdom vs intelligence in D+D (and/or life).. wisdom is knowing things, intelligence is how quick you can learn / create new things.

I made the switch from Perl to php mostly because php executed a lot faster (without having to figure out any weird stuff like modperl) and I loved the little convenience functions just built-in like “strtoupper” and the date formatting stu
