You can get small commercial vehicles/delivery trucks down most of the streets in Zurich. Cars are also expected to make way for emergency vehicles, and as the other poster mentioned, emergency can use the rail lane when they need to.

The Swiss take their roads seriously (I get to hear about it every night : ) ). Other points not mentioned: Switzerland has - effectively - no domestic car industry, so there were never any special interest groups with economic clout pushin

It looks like you're an American expat studying in Germany. A lot of PhD's there go directly into industry, so much so that's from my observation it's the norm instead of the outlier. You would likely only surrender the

Last apartment had and air circulation system for hang drying clothes. They would dry in a couple of hours and we never had to deal with shrinkage or wear. Our new apartment has a front loaded. My wife's clothes were in awful condition

It's hard to kill them. I'm glad to see that they're getting a second (third?) life because of their durability - I bought mine on deep discount after the Made in America/logger clothes trend went away around 2011 or 201

I wrote a pretty sophisticated longitudinal study app that's currently being used by a top 100 university. The front end is entirely in React. I only have limited experience with Ruby, but tbh, I think I would feel more comfortable mai

Crawlers are fun! If you're new to the field and want something that's easy to set up & polite, I strongly recommend Apache Storm Crawler ( https://github.com/DigitalPebble/storm-crawler ).

I kind of get the impression that there is a glut of developers who know/are learning React and a glut of companies that are having trouble finding someone willing or able to use React (at least where I'm located).
