Makes sense, and I like the simplicity of the design quite a bit. Maybe one way to augment it would be to add a button that throws the content into a gist/pastebin.something similar, so it could be more easily shared or preserved? Of course

FYI local storage is not reliable, so you may want to think about a fallback, or at least putting a disclaimer explaining that what you write will probably but nitndefinitely still be there when you come back.

This is true on a computer, but on a mobile device I suspect you're in the extreme minority; typing an app's name on an onscreen keyboard is an order of magnitude or two more complex than tapping its icon after a swipe or two, especially wh

Sorry, I was unclear about what I meant by 'market to my friends.' What I intended to communicate was that I only like entities that I would trust to market to my friends responsibly. I would never like a site like Vice because I know that

To my mind it's the price of publically 'liking' something. With that in mind, I only 'like' things that I would be happy to market to my friends.

I'll admit I haven't read the CSS spec, but I have been reading the canvas element spec in detail, as there's little good, deep reference material for it. It's readable, or at least understandable, but it's challenging compared to more trad

This is an extremely simplistic and inaccurate view of California's political problems, which are in fact in large part related to initiatives that passed through California's direct democracy process. Proposition 13 is among the most signi

I'd argue that Disney's animated works as a whole is much more culturally relevant than Hanna-Barbera's portfolio. But I do agree that quality of animation is not the deciding factor in that determination.

On the other hand, the double tap brings up the four most recently used applications, which, for my usage patterns at least, are more likely to be what I'm looking for than the apps on my home screen.

The Way Things Work (the book) is amazing; the new version also includes chapters on computers and electronics. Not sure about that dated "multimedia experience," but the book itself definitely holds up fantastically well.

I also have had good experiences with Hotwire. One helpful note: if you do a little looking around on the internet, it's usually pretty easy to figure out which hotel they're offering based on location and amenities.
